This is a 4-track cassette demo for a song that wound up being called "Motown Faux" on the Faux Jean Band's 2006 album, "Light it Up / Burn it Down."

I made this instrumental version just to iron out the arrangement, make sure it worked, etc.

"If you're going to live a lie, you might as well do it right" was the lyric that inspired the title "Kayfabe," which is pro-wrestling-speak for making the fake seem real, more or less.
