Get up!
It’s morning time,
and it would follow reason
that you rise and shine
At night
at night
you don’t follow reason
no you don’t
you just follow feelings,
pass a note and you’re only reason why
you never follow reason
defined defined by love
Get down you never respond to reason
No you don’t maybe it just don’t feel right
Now you could use some advice
I know
At night you say goodbye to reason
You just follow feeling
You say goodbye to reason
You’re defined by love

Get Up (2008)
03:26
|
|||
Get up!
It’s morning time,
and it would follow reason
that you rise and shine
At night now
Get down
Come off it
This will have no meaning
when we're dead
I know
I know now I'm defined by love
Now
At night I know
At night
You only follow feelings
You turn your back on reason
Why?
It seems so much more fun teasing
that I know
'Cause I'm defined by love
defined defined defined defined
Get high
But watch your head
It can get in the way
If you let it
Oh, I know
Pass a note
There ya go
No ya don't
Oh, I know
Yeah
Get off
I'm over it
And this will have no meaning
when we're dead
Oh, I know
At night
I know
etc

Alone and So (Piano Mix)

Alright
Alone
Alone and so
Alone and so
Shooby doobie doobie doobie doo wah
Come on come on come on come on
Shooby doobie doobie doobie doo wah
Doin' what you wanna do 'cause you're
Alone
And so
Alone
And so
I didn't have nowhere to go
So hopped
In my car
And I thought I'd drive very far
But I stopped into a shop for 3 shots see
There was a girl working there and she looked at me
She said
"Ice?"
Well I don't know
I like it hot
I like it cold
I don't know
I'm alone
And so
Alright
Alone and so
I said
"How is business?"
She said "slow"
"Why don't you close the shop
And come with me?"
She said "Where?"
I just said "We'll see
I got a quarter tank and some money for some food"
"That ain't half bad
In fact it sounds
Very good!"
Shooby doobie doobie doobie doo wah
But let's go!
You're not alone anymore
You're not alone and so

Nicotine Dreams, Pt. 1
03:09
|
|||
“Even in the dream things seemed timid at first,
your hand on my back was gone so soon,
but not before I knew I’d liked it there
on an aimless trail for the sake of itself with wonderfully surreal scenery
we talked about music and poetry and food that we loved
Anything but love itself.”

i just copied and pasted these from wikipedia, they are not exact to what I've sung here:
Did you ever hear tell of Sweet Betsy from Pike,
Who crossed the wide mountains with her lover Ike,
Two yoke of cattle, a large yeller dog,
A tall Shanghai rooster, and a one-spotted hog.
They swam the wide rivers and crossed the tall peaks,
And camped on the prairie for weeks upon weeks.
Starvation and cholera, hard work and slaughter--
They reached California 'spite of hell and high water.
One evening quite early they camped on the Platte,
Twas near by the road on a green shady flat.
Betsy, sore-footed, lay down to repose--
With wonder Ike gazed on that Pike County rose.
The wagon broke down with a terrible crash,
And out on the prairie rolled all sorts of trash.
A few little baby-clothes, done up with care,
Looked rather suspicious, but all on the square.
The alkali desert was burning and bare,
And Isaac's soul shrank from the death that lurked there.
"Dear old Pike County, I'll go back to you"--
Says Betsy, "You'll go by yourself if you do!"
They soon reached the desert, where Betsy gave out,
And down in the sand she lay rolling about.
Ike in great wonder looked on in surprise,
Saying, "Betsy, get up, you'll get sand in your eyes."
Sweet Betsy got up in a great deal of pain.
She declared she'd go back to Pike County again.
Ike gave a sigh, and they fondly embraced,
And they traveled along with his arm round her waist.
The Shanghai ran off, and the cattle all died,
That morning the last piece of bacon was fried.
Ike got discouraged, Betsy got mad,
The dog drooped his tail and looked wonderfully sad.
They suddenly stopped on a very high hill,
With wonder looked down upon old Placerville.
Ike said to Betsy, as he cast his eyes down,
"Sweet Betsy, my darling, we've got to Hangtown."
Long Ike and Sweet Betsy attended a dance.
Ike wore a pair of his Pike County pants.
Betsy was covered with ribbons and rings.
Says Ike, "You're an angel, but where is your wings?"
A miner said, "Betsy, will you dance with me?"
"I will that, old hoss, if you don't make too free.
Don't dance me hard, do you want to know why?
Doggone you, I'm chock-full of strong alkali."
This Pike County couple got married, of course,
But Ike became jealous, and obtained a divorce.
Betsy, well-satisfied, said with a shout,
"Goodby, you big lummox, I'm glad you backed out!"

Down down down
I'm going down to Crazytown
I'm hoping for to see you there
'cause that's where you're living now
You're living in Crazytown
I found a hotel where I can stay
I'm going to spend a couple days
At the Hotel Crazytown
Down
I'm going down to Crazytown
It's where you've been living now!
I'm going to see my baby there
I'm going to show her that I care
Show her I can meet her where
She's living now
So I'm going down to Crazytown
I'm going there to meet you now
First I'm gonna check in
I'm waiting for your text and
Then I'm going to track you down
I really need to see you now
Even if you're just staring at your phone
I still wanna see you
I still wanna be your friend!
yeah yeah yeah
So I'm going down to Crazytown
I'm going to get a hotel room
I'm hoping that you'll meet me there.
